Let us answer your queries

Yogupet is the name given to our yoghurts, kefirs and ice creams that have been pasteurised following fermentation. The ferments are removed after the pasteurisation process, which achieves a more stable and longer-lasting product.

Our yogupets contain 100% natural ingredients and are lactose, conservative and added sugar-free.

They provide all of the nutritional benefits of yoghurt, which will help your pet to follow a healthy and balanced diet.

Our yogupets include ingredients that provide health benefits for your pet. They are all designed to improve the quality of their diet.

No, it is considered a supplementary food. This means that you should use it to supplement your pet’s normal diet.

Yogupet contains cow’s milk which meets European Feed Manufacturing standards.

The recommended daily yogupet consumption can be found under ‘specifications’ in the ration section printed on each product’s packaging.

How to store
yogupets

yogupet_navegacion-movimiento-2

We recommend keeping yogupet yoghurts and kefirs in the fridge alongside your own yoghurts. Don’t worry, as the design and illustrations of our yogupets will make it obvious which ones are for you and which ones are for your four-legged friends.

Once opened, store in the fridge and consume within 4 days.

It is totally fine to store any of our products outside of the fridge (or freezer, in the case of ice creams). However, they must be kept in a cool, dry place. Remember to keep tabs on the expiry date.

If the container is malformed, please take a photo of it and send it to us at info@yogupet.com.

If the lid of the container appears swollen, please take a photo of it and send it to us at info@yogupet.com.

Do not give it to your pet once the expiry date has elapsed.

Lactose-free and preservative-free

Lactose-free and preservative-free

Why is it lactose-free?

Lactose is a naturally occurring disaccharide sugar composed of glucose and galactose. It is also known as ‘milk sugar’.

Younger pets, however, can process lactose. In fact, they need it to grow up big and strong.

When a pet reaches adulthood, it normally stops producing an enzyme called lactase which is responsible for breaking down the lactose in milk. This causes it to pass automatically into the large intestine without being digested. In some cases, this can lead to discomfort such as diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal pain or gases.

However, our yogupets are lactose-free. We hope that this will result in happy pets with no digestive problems.

By using lactose-free milk or providing the necessary amount of lactase to break down the lactose in milk.

Lactase is the last enzyme to appear and mature in newborn animals. It is most active at birth and during the lactation period but starts to wane after weaning. This enzyme is responsible for splitting lactose into its two simple sugars: glucose and galactose.
